The title ALT looks like it says ALTL because of the bar code should be placed on the other side of the page. The picture needs to be re-sized and the shadow showing doesn't work and the bar code is too big and fat need to make sure the bar code is the same width as the letters and numbers, add a date and price. The font works well, nice choice.
There is too much shadow in the image and 'The Saints' either needs moving or removing off the page and all the black space doesn't work at the moment. Spelling mistakes need changing and there is too much text below the cover, but try re-sizing all the text. Add more pages and don't just list the names, name the pages, give contents page a page number.
All the article text is on the same level us drop capitals and make text smaller and include more. Create name of article author and the page number it too big. Put the pull quote in the article mention who photographed the image.
I like these drafts, they use a great font and i like how you have included the title all the way through. Its very minimalist and that is good but i think that your contents is too bare and i don't like where you put your bar code on your cover. The black and white theme is good but i think it needs some colour.
ReplyDeleteChloe, i really do like your magazine drafts! The image on the front cover is really powerful because the eyes of the model is is looking at the consumer reading the magazine which adds great effect to the attention of the image. I think the same image could be re-taken but with a couple for lights to remove the shadow. The contents page is very basic and simple which works when you relate it to the Claudine you're targeting your product at but i think it could possibly do with a little text in the right bottom corner to remove the complete bareness of the page (even if its small). I am really looking forward to seeing your final product, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI really love these drafts you have done! I can see clearly the direction you are going in and I'm really excited to see you finished product. However I would say that your contents page is maybe just a little too bare although that can be easily rectified! I love the images you have taken as well and I think the monochrome colour scheme is really effective and unique, however to make your magazine really stand out I think adding more colour to it might make it look more professional than it does now! Can't wait to see the rest!
